Ah yes, a beautiful tailwind this afternoon was quite a reward for the headwind this morning. I do wish that I could find an "in" into the City of Calgary Traffic pattern department though, it is much more demoralizing to hit red lights when doing 40+ every 16 blocks. However, with an entirely pain and 99% discomfort free ride it made me feel almost fully healed, huzzah! I felt so good that I very nearly decided to do an extra hour of riding, but wisdom won out. The last thing I want to do is take a huge step backwards into injury just when everything is looking good.

I considered riding this morning, but decided that my minimum one day of rest between rides for a few weeks was still the much more intelligent decision. The forecast for showers and thundershowers in the afternoon had nothing to do with it... really!
