You may get lucky after all. As I rode in yesterday, in the final 2km I noticed a slight twinge in my right knee, no problem I thought. Then biking home that slight twinge turned into what I have decided to describe as "Excruciating Knee pain; with the burning; and the stabbing; and the internal pressure!" I stopped three times to adjust various bike positions and adjustments but to no avail. I ended up discovering that if I let my right leg sit on the pedal 'dead legged' doing nothing other than being driven up and down by my left leg that the pain would subside. So in essence I did my full evening commute using only my left leg, for a personal worst time of 66 minutes. I even skipped my now normal jaunt onto the pathway at 16th ave, and reaffirmed why it is my normal, after being nearly sideswiped by 3 vehicles. I don't understand how industrial area traffic can be so courteous, and residential traffic so... not.

I feel that two items have conspired against me, not being able to sit just far enough forward to keep proper knee alignment, and what appears to be a nasty deep tissue bruise just above my knee cause by propping a 300lbs washing machine against my knee halfway up a flight of stairs on the weekend so that we could catch our breath. The first I fixed with a saddle change that allows a slightly more forward position. The second should only require time.

I am sure that you are currently riding, and that you will take back the lead, but posting my numbers from yesterday, I am sitting in a healthy 1st with 490km. Go Left Leg!
