I spent the weekend rotating between eating too much, getting worked to death by my father in law, and napping. All in all a good weekend.

Getting on to my bike this morning was a fantastic feeling though, so much energy! I flew around the first few corners and up my morning warm up hill. I don't know why it popped into my head, but my first thought was "I Have the POWER" (circa He-Man 1982) Which was immediately followed by a snicker about Nick Frost's character exclaiming "by the power of Grey Skull!" in the movie Hot Fuzz. Which lead me to fondly remember being the only person in the entire theater to hear that and burst out laughing, which led small children to turn to look at me with wondering looks that seemed to say "sir, that was not funny, please be quiet and quit ruining the peaceful atmosphere of the theater, " oh look a squirrel (Have I mentioned that my thoughts can be a wee bit random?)

Anyways, all of that ended when I turned south into the wind, all of my new found energy gone, and a much smaller, yet no less defiant voice in my head said "I Have the HEADWIND!!!" which also made me snicker. (have I mentioned that I am also a little delirious in the morning?)
